Since our inception in 1965, HMR Architects has been committed to providing quality service to a full range of clientele. The members of our firm share a common interest in excellence in the design environment. Architectural and planning projects for institutions, museums, libraries, residences and diverse historic preservation clients have ranged in scope from small interiors to multiple building projects.
Our work evolves from a strong concern for individual and social needs, constant awareness of the existing natural surroundings, and the use of modern technology to arrive at sensitive design solutions within the ever-present limits of budget and time.
HMR’s in-house personnel provide complete architectural services, including historic preservation and historic research, as required for each project. HMR has particular expertise in the field of historic architecture and much of our practice over the past 48 years has included restoration and rehabilitation of historic structures and landscapes, as well as adaptive use and additions to existing buildings.
As a small firm, HMR prides itself on a collaborative project approach. Regardless of size, all projects receive the attention of our partners along with key personnel and expert consultants to provide a full range of services.
